From Leo our Super Junior League Secretary:

Hi all and welcome to the Junior Page of Raynes Park little league. RPLL is one the most popular and strongest little leagues out there. As we enter our 50th year we have kept the ethos of little league the same from day 1 and made it what is today. The reason behind this is the environment we create each and every Saturday at Sir Joseph hood, rain or shine, backed by the army of volunteers we have week in week out – which is why we have such a great number of children wishing to join RPLL.

In order to keep our league running it is important that we get all of the subscription fee’s where possible so please do what you can to ensure we keep our football running year after year….

Good luck to all managers and players alike – I hope you all have an enjoyable season and I wish your teams the best of luck…!!

If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to approach me or any member of the committee.

Below are some guidelines and rules for RPLL Juniors managers, please use common sense where possible and in some cases show the child how to take a proper throw for e.g or if there is a dispute during the game please explain to the child why a decision is made, communication is key…!!! All managers should be familiar with the RPLL code of conduct, if you need the guide we will issue it out.

Squad sizes:

The Junior squads will be at a maximum of 11 where and the starting numbers will be 8v8 or 7v7, anything less than 7 then the normal little league rules apply i.e 7v6..anything less than 6 a 3-0 forfiet and if both teams have less than 6 players then a no score draw.

Refereeing duties:

Please adhere to your allotted refereeing duty which is emailed each week, if you cannot make your allotted slot please let me know ASAP so i can make alternative arrangements.

 Back pass rule:

The back pass rule is applicable at junior level, the result is an indirect free kick and the wall must be 7 yards away or on the goal line dependant on where the infringement initially occurred.

Throw in rule:

  • have of each foot either on the touch line or on the ground outside the touch line
  • holds the ball with both hands
  • delivers the ball from behind and over his head
  • Juniors are allowed 1 foul throw per team, if they commit another foul throw it is then given to the opposition.

Goal Difference:

  • Goal difference at RPLL league is not applicable. Where teams are tied in a position that will determine for e.g league winners, head to head is used and in some cases a play off will decide the outcome.

Touchline decisions:

Please ensure the corner flags  are in place to assist the referee and please use the managers as guidelines to observe each touchline in the event the referee is unsure of a decision.

If you have any questions or queries please do not hesitate to contact me or any member of the committee.

Please note that these rules are subject to change at any time at the committee’s discretion.
